squeaking?

When i first start my car after it has not run for a while, it makes a squeaking sound...alot. after it warms up, that sound goes away. I originally thought that it was a belt or something, since it goes away when it warms up, i don't know what to think...

I'm not exactly a master mechanic, so i don't know.

i have a 2005 nissan sentra 1.8s.

any thelp is apreciated!

The 2000-2005's Sentra's rubber belts(like alternator) make noises when there is any moisture in the air, especially when it rains but then stops after you drive for a while.

it's the alternator belt...taking it to the dealer would fix that squeaking problem

good to hear its nothing to big. I bought it from a guy who gets cars from the auctions, and sells them for cheap (got my sentra for $10,500 with 9500 miles). I bought it in December. Maybe I'll see if I can get him to fix it for nothin. lol. Maybe i'll act interested enough in the bright red 350Z roadster he's got down there to take it for a drive... If not, do ya think i could take it to the nearest dealer (350 miles away) and have them fix it and call it warranty? haha. damn i'm a cheap bastard...
