Header = Melted Dipstick?
I just installed an OBX Header on my '02 QG18, drove around the block twice not real fast (shifting @ 3-4K), got back and noticed my Dipstick Handle Melted off! Rest of the dipstick is stuck in the tube now. gonna try to pull the tube out tomorrow.
The header install went fine, I had bent the the dipstick tube a little for header to clear.. there was plenty of space, i made sure wasn't too close to header tubes/flange, etc. I know headers get Hot but this is Ridiculous!!
Has this ever happened to anyone with headers?
Now i'm thinkin i should put some of the OEM heatshields back on to protect from the heat.
