no.....not unless you want to attempt to use an MSD control box for over $400.

Keep in mind the timing is continuously variable...so if you go WOT, it may go as high as 22*. Plus, the MSD control box for distributorless ignitions is only needed on our cars if you get more than 350whp.


Cheap mods yield little to no power.

HORSEPOWER COSTS MONEY. If you want it, spend the money. If you want to nickel and dime yourself to 5 hp and $500, go ahead and do this stuff. Gains from upping the timing are negligible.

Well, it appears from other responses that the timing is only variable up to a whopping +3 degrees thru the Consult II any way. I certainly agree that is "mouse milk" and won't accomplish much. I'm still looking into other possibilites for a timing advance of perhaps 5-10 degrees which I think would be more in line with being "worthwhile"...
