the hotshot header for the qg18de kind of sucks when it comes to people that own 03s and up...my friend has an 03 and i have an 04 and we're experiencing some problems with it...i'm not sure if anyone on the forums has any experience with the header or not with 03s and up but if you do then let me know...

I sugguest that you re-read his thread. What part of header did you get from intake? Please re-read the post and dont submit anything that will mislead the person.

it fits but when it comes to where your o2 sensor goes in the header you run into problems...

You have to re-locate them. In a previous thread it was talked about.

re-locate the sensor to where? whether you plug the o2 sensor into the egr plug hole or one of the o2 bungs that come pre-welded your o2 sensor is still only reading one of the header pipes which screws everything up...

The hotshot intake will fit, doesn't need modding. Personally, I went with a weapon-r intake, myself.

The header bolts up fine but the 2003-up dont have an egr tube to fit in one of the holes and we only have 2 O2sensors. Also you will have to cut your cat off and weld a flange on it because our exhaust system is 3 pieces and 2000-2002 are 4 pieces. I found it a pain and sold mine. But I also tried doing it myself and i didnt have all the tools. Good luck with yours,

Also any intake will fit the 1.8, including the intakes for the SE and Spec's. I have a AEM for a Spec on my car All i had to do is make the hole bigger. everything else bolted right up.

i didn't have to cut the cat off to weld a flange on it because i got a cat from someone with a 00-01 gxe...FYI the cats on the 00-01 GXEs are just bolt on so it's a lot easier just finding one of those or buying one of those instead of paying for the welding...at least IMO...anyways yeah the 03s and up have only 2 o2 sensors and so you need to plug one into the header and the second one down by your exhaust you'll have to extend to plug into the o2 bung you'll have welded on after the cat....the hotshot header comes with a wire to do that but like i stated previously the problem isn't in fitment of the header or anything..the problem is where to plug the o2 sensor in the header since either way the o2 sensor won't read right since it'll only be reading one of the pipes in the header...
