QG18DD fuel delivery problems

Hi, i have a 2001 nissan sunny super saloon. It has a qg18dd direct injection engine, with the hyper CVT transmission. The problem i'm having is that the car is sputtering an has no power when u depress the throtle. i carried it to the nissan dealer in jamaica an they hooked it up to the diagnosis machine an the problem turned out to be with the fuel pressure regulator. The problem is its not sold in jamaica, an its very hard to source. I want to know if i can use an aftermarket regulator to fix the problem, if i can recommend a brand. Thanx in advance for info.

I happen to live in Jamaica and have the same car as you, before you spend your money I am begging you to first go to JAGAS, that's the german auto school and get a second opinion. They have a brand new machine that diagnose and even check the bad part. I was having problems wjith a check engine light and Fidelity gave me 3 incorrect diagnosis costing me over $20,000. The last straw came when they said I needed a throttle body assembly withe the auto idle assembly attached costing $85000. Jagas was the one who said that I only needed a camshaft position sensor costing only 3200 + GCT which I bought and installed myself and everything has been good so far. Let me know the result.
