header question

i just got an OBX header put in but it only had holes for 2 of the 4 o2 sensors that the 1.8 has. they only connected 2 of them and said that it really shouldnt be a problem. i figure someone here probably knows more than the guys at the muffler shop so is this a bad idea or what?

they got everything on no problem but they said if anything starts to go wrong that i should bring it back and they'l drill 2 more holes for the other sensors. i drove around a few hours and burned a ton of gas and my car is running very poorly so im going to bring it back and most likely pay out my ass.

what 2 sensors did you put in, the two with the shorter wires? those should be all you need.

did they put on new gaskets everywhere?

those are the two wrong ones. Those are post cat sensors and do nothing but monitor what the 2 sensors with the shorter wires are doing.

They must be a fantastic shop! I bet it ran like crap right after they installed it...and they didn't try the other sensors. Idiots.

btw...it doesn't help that you bought the cheapest POS header you could find.

i brought my car back there and they drilled holes and connected the other 2 sensors but the car still runs terribly. if the car is under 4000rpms, it barely moves but anything higher than that, it fuckin blasts off. the owner told me to bring it back tomorrow and drop it off and hes gonna look at everything to see whats wrong.

Don't take your car there anymore. Put in the correct O2 sensors per Chimmike (he knows this car very well, having turbo'ed it). You car is running like crap probably because it's running rich as hell. Those front O2 sensors help regulate the A/F mixture, and if they are disconnected (zip-tied off somewhere I would imagine) the car will dump fuel to compensate.

Any Check Engine light? What size exhaust piping?

edit: I missed earlier when you said they drilled new holes in for the O2 sensors... They may have messed that up somehow.
