noobish question

Hello, I have a 2005 Sentra with a QG18 engine, I was wondering if I could I use a CAI on this model that is intended for use on a 2005 SE-R/SE-R Spec V.

With modifacation, it can be made to fit. For an easier install, why not get the CAI made for your model car. Hotshot makes one, I know that much.

Sometimes i dont understand why someone would try to reinvent the wheel? Just go with what is already out there. I believe thats why they are made the way they are. They have already invested in the time and money that was needed to develope that product for your car. Look at AEM, K&N or some other company that has already made one.

the only one that will pretty much fit exactly is hotshot form what i know, I have one off ebay for the se-r and it fits perfectly. I just had to do some modification that i kinda regret, cuting the edges on the mass air flow sensor to make a clamp fit over it, since thats the peice that didnt fit right... but dont bother with hotshot or aem or anything unless u really wanna show off.. my ebay intake runs just as good as my friends aem intake for the se version and the ebay pipeing is slightly bigger as well.
