I am new to this forum and I am thankful that you are here to help. I have repeated Trouble code of P1126 over three weeks. Each time I cleared the code with an after market code reader, it comes back in a few day's time. The strange part is when I refer to the Service Manual, this trouble code does not exist in 2001's CA. It is only valid on the SE model and indicated a car part that my car doesn't have. Is this true or is my code reader reading wrong? My code reader reads everything else like RPM, temperature and pressure properly.
I also had the unknown P1275 code before but it eventually went away after clearing the code many times and lubricating the Oxygen Sensor connectors.

After doing some research I have found that there are 2 different types of OBDII readers, one version is for US manufatured cars and are found all over E-Bay and many autoparts stores and then there is the US/Import version which costs two times as much, so first see if you have the correct reader and then take it to autozone and have it read for free and see what they come up with and take that code home and look it up on the net.
I checked with AutoZone's OBD reader. It read the same P1126 and the comment was some what like "manufacturer controlled air fuel mixture metering". Can you tell me what this code means for the Sentra CA model vehicle? Thanks!
I would love to tell you what that code means, but I can't because it is not in the Nissan service manuals I own either, it is only listed on my generic OBDII reader and software disk.
I too live in California and know that the California models have much more crap under the hood than the same models in other states, I still have a 2001 Sentra with 65000 miles sitting dead in the back yard with a bad auto transmission which with any luck a church group that I donated it to will come and pick up this weekend. I have had nothing but trouble with that piece of crap with all it's recalls for sensors, steering bolts, rims, etc, then as soon as it went out of warranty the cat converter coming of the exhaust manifold for cylinder 1 & 4 went bad and took out 1 of the 4 O2 sensors. Over a grand later for the sensor and new cat converter the transmission died and the fluid is still pink but it was a 2G repair and it is not worth it to me so I replaced it with an 04 model which has not had one single problem. All my cars and trucks are stock an unmodified and I do not drive them hard or allow the service to lack. It’s just one of those things I guess.

Thank you for the effort and suggestions. I will return to you when I have the P1126 problem fixed. BTW, what was the symptom with your car's transmission before it gave up on you? My Sentra also acts funny in hot and stop and go driving condition. It gives an low frequency groaning sound when decelerate to a stop.
I never got a CEL when that happened nor did I get any advance notice, It happened on the 99 freeway 8 miles from my house. It just made a loud "Clunk" then it went into a coasting mode and all my forward gears were gone. But reverse still worked although it slipped. I did have it towed to a transmission shop to be diagnosed then too a second for a second option and after I got two reports which matched with costs over 2G that’s when I decided Chit Can the car and buy a new one. The only thing that I had installed that I transferred over was a Pioneer AVIC-N2 that I used for XM radio and GPS since I am a frequent traveler.

you could have a faulty engine coolant sensor. before the engine goes to closed loop and uses the oxygen sensor as a guide to fuel/air mixture, the computer uses various other sensors to determine the mixture ratio. the cooler that an engines coolant temperature is, the cooler the engine is , so the mixture is just a hair more rich to get the engine up to operating temperature. the manufacturer specific code has to do with that sensor, a poorly operating thermostat or low coolant at the sensor level, making it unable to sense the true temp of the coolant.

I replaced the thermostat and the problem went away.
At the beginning, I was doubtful about it because my Nissan Service Manual does not have this P1126 code. Another gentleman also pointed me to the coolent temperature issue. I noticed for three consecutive times the OBD showed the code after about nine miles of driving and the freeze frame temperature was 160 every time. I decided to change the thermostat.
