i can answer question 1, any muffler shop can do it, or anyone that knows how to use a welder. I say muffler shop because they sell you the tips to.. 1 stop shop sort to speak.

and im also curious if it sounds any different? i would imagine it has a raspier tone

Mine is bolted on, but it can be welded too, which I would do myself. And no it does not change the sound at all really, I put this on 3 days after I bought the car, but its nothing noticable at all if it did change anything. I bought that tip is made by 3A Racing, with dual 3" tips with rolled edges.

Just take the muffler off, u don't need it.
