Mass air flow sensor replacement. Still problems.
The problems first started as a cold start problem, car would start, but would need to idle for 10 seconds or so before I drove it, or it would hesitate badly. If I let it warm up, it would be fine.
I called a local radio car mechanic, he said my valves were covered with carbon, and just run some bg44k throught it, it should clear it up. Did that, didn't work.
About a month later, on my way to work, the car hesitated badly, and never recovered, it wouldnt' go over 60mph. Took it to the dealer, said MAF, $733 to fix it. I told them I knew where the MAF was, not to fix it, I would do it myself. Paid $89 for the nissan diagnostic, $174 for a MAF from an Texas car parts place (internet buy) and did it myself. Worked perfectly. ran fine. That was 2 weeks ago. But still sometimes, it wants to hesitate slightly during driving. The passengers doesn't feel it, but driving the car, you can feel it barely once in awhile. Today, I had the ac on, put it in reverse, and it hesitated a little worse than normal, almost to the point of stalling. Anyone have a clue?
