Replaced air flow meter on 2001sentra,(hard 2 find expensive part)because code P0100 told me so, but engine still wants to die when accelerating. Service engine soon light is on, checked all connections on everything I could see. Any help is appreciated, could it be another sensor thats not showing up on the scanner? What is P0733 code?

Actually there is an OBDII code and for P0733 which states “Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio”.
once again, according to the NISSAN FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL, P0733 is NOT USED.
which means, there's something else going on, and a generic code scanner isn't picking it up. Sounds like a trip to Nissan is in order.
On another note....have you had the crank/cam position sensor recalls done? That sounds like it might be the crank sensor, now that I think about it.
Sensor package was done by Nissan in May 02, is it possible they've gone bad already? P0733 is a tranny code but that can be the cause for the engine problem.
a tranny code might cause the problem you're having but I doubt it.
I need to read what I write before replying, I meant to say the tranny could not be affecting the way the engine is performing since the thing is in park. After installing the new MAF, I took my brothers new scanner and reread the codes this time 5 codes came up P0100,P0110,P1320,P0110 again and P0733. Checked plugs and replaced, rescanned and only P0100 and P0110 appeared. All I have contacted, including 2 mechanics who did their diagnostics, are telling me the new MAF is bad. Waiting for the part to come in, seems these things are king of delicate and should not be banged around. Provably happened on it's way up while in the back of the truck from LA. No one can tell me if there is a way to test these, there are no repair manuals available anywhere in the SF Bay area. Tried dealer, the library and ordering from major book store chains. Closest to 2001 Sentra is a 1999 book. By the way dealers price is over $400 for the MAF. Kragens is $219 if available.

It took several weeks, the MAF, work on ECU, camshaft sensor and two coils to get it running. Car has only 44k on it, not sure if I want to keep it. Thanks to all for replies.
