My Hotshot Experience

Ordering sux perro muchos grandes

I had my shady backyard mechanics help me out with the install...they didnt need to jack up the car or remove the wheel or the splash guards....they enlarged the hole tho....

The sound of it? Sounds like a WRX only at High RPMS....I cant do it much cuz I have automatic (punch in the face) Gains? Only when I shift from 1 to 2 I feel the power big time and the loudness....sounds like a WRX....love it

PS Chimmike.....hotshots CAI still looks pretty chinese egg noodle to me.....didnt even come with a sticker

Because everyone knows, those stickers will give you 20 more whp! BTW, you probably won't feel much of a difference until higher in the revs anyway.

Is the hotshot CAI the only mod you have on your engine? I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my '02 XE. Was it hard installing?

Theres a lot of taking things a part and putting em back together....the hoses were sorta tricky.....but if u buy from hotshot prepare to wait a month...but then get on their case and say u want a discount on your next purchase (header) thats what I told em and he said he'll hook me up since they took so long so when I order it I wonder how much it will cost

I have an auto too. Granted, the power won't be felt as much as if it were manual, but who cares. It's all about being content, and frankly I don't see the need for stick unless I'm racing...which I don't do regardless.

Basically, doing modifications to the engine myself and saying 'I did that with my own two hands', is a good enough learning experience anyway. And, just knowing that the power is there to beat some punk off the line is good enough for me. Plus being a car nut always helps.

Nah, it would be like really hard for your intake to suck up water to damage. Plus the intake is pretty kept away so you wont have to worry.

Most likely not, but you can get a bypass valve if you're that worried.

The only thing remotely troublesome about installing the CAI is cutting the hole for the piping. Unless you have the correct tools anyways.

This has been gone over SO MANY times, it's not even funny. NO, UNLESS YOU'RE DRIVING IN A HURRICANE OR FLOOD WATERS IT DOESN'T MATTER. THE FILTER HAS TO BE COMPLETELY SUBMERGED!
