Eating fuel pumps

Does anyone else have problems with their Sentra's running through fuel pumps? It's not a complete failure, it just has a hard starting problem when the vehicle has sat for an hour but is still warm. My dealer diagnosed it as being a bad fuel pump while it was under warranty when I had 20K miles (the problem quickly disappeared after the fuel pump change). Now with 89K miles, it is demonstrating those same symptoms again. My sister-in law has the exact same car (color and everything!) and it starts hard in the same manner. Anyone have any thoughts?

I've heard it's a problem with the QR powered cars, but not the QG's. Let the pump prime, then start the car. You can hear the pump whine if you turn the key to acc (but don't start the car yet). Once it's done, then try to start it. Suppposedly, it helps with warm starts.

Does your "Service Engine Soon" Light come on? What fuel pumps could be used that would be a little more durable? I guess it depends if the problems is heat or electrical related.
