Ok...now the 2005 LE w/bose...nav and dvd doesnt have an aux in jack on the dash, as other models do. I am going to assume thats because the aux in is being used for the dvd audio...correct?
I need to hardwire my iPod into the system. RF stinks...there are audio and video inputs on the dvd player, but that said...is there another aux in..I'm thinkin no...I wonder how the ipod will sound, when plugged into the rca's in the dvd player...
If you have the rear DVD system the aux in is in the center arm rest console on the dvd player. Otherwise you are in the same boat as me and need to hard wire it.

I have my Ipod going into the DVD player located in the armrest using Monster gold tip RCA cables. Ipod store online sells an ipod holder that fits into the cup holders on the pathy. Use this and run the cables into the armrest and you can still close the armrest without a problem. Until Ipod comes out with an interface for the Bose stereo this is what I have been using. I think it sound just like a CD,very clean, I cant tell the difference. Now I dont have to lug around 150+ cds in my car anymore. Hope this helps.

Yeah, going to get a sik-imp and stay away from the mini-plug, plus it adds the power side to the equation. I've installed iPod interfaces (including blitzsafe and dension ice-link plus) into all of my cars, and the PF if def next
I just use RCA jack, left & right with the end having the small size that fits headphone jack for IPOD, you can get that in Radioshack or some computer shops will have a smaller sized ones that rolls up. I use the AV Rear and just select AUX on the DVD player - beautiful music!
