intake

i opened my air box and actually expecting a green paper filter but it's pink ommhh that was gay why pink anyone who knew this pink air filter or it maybe standard color for all nissan(my first nissan) im planning to change it to a drop in kn filter. my another question is this airbox is connected to the left fender but not sure because i can't find any opening from that fender or it maybe the air inlet of that air box is the foam that's stick to that fender means it's really not connected to that fender. i hope there will be after market intake in the near future. does nissan a pain in the ass when it comes to aftermarket. i got a 2003 civic with basic mod and my dealer never say anything about it.

Most Nissan OEM filters are red or pink, yes. Who the hell cares what color the air filter is, anyway? It's there to filter air, not look good, and you can't even see it. I have no idea on the fender connection, I suppose you could unbolt the airbox and look for yourself.

Yeah.. i was also wondering about the concern over the filter color too...

The "good thing" is it won't be pink or green or red or orange for too long as it does it's job.

i tried to put my finger in between that foam and fender and yes there is a hole on that fender means it's sucking the air from the outside like cold air intake i may just use drop in k and n filter because that k and n Generation II FIPK® is just like a short ram which it will get air from the engine bay which is hot. maybe after a year will have like a cold air box like with weapon r.
