Good buy?

Ok so heres what I'm looking at:

95 SE-V6 pathy with the sport package (LSD, 4wheel disc, and dual mode shocks/tranny)
166,xxx miles (267000 km) on it and its been babied the whole way. Looks like brand new inside and out, save for some very small scratches on the door. Never been offroad, but 4wd works like a charm, I tested it myself. All the maintanance has been done (water pump, timing belts etc)

The guy wants, 7500 CAD, or 6250 USD roughly.

Is it worth it with all those miles on it? How far you think it'll go before it starts to get old and break down?

thanks.

If its as good as you say, negotiate a slightly lower price, because here in california the blue book value is $5500 USD. as far as reliabilty these pathy's keep on rolling ... if you look up the posts using the search box "how long have you owned your nissan" many of the pathfinder owners have well over 200,000 miles on the OD

Yup, I have been looking around at some of the milage posts and whatnot. I usually dont like to post questions before seeing if there was an answer in plain sight. I find it brings unwanted attention, hhehe.

I agree on the price thing, I'm going to see if he'll take more money off the asking price, but he just spent 1500 on it doing bushings and all that other jazz, Plus the way the market is here right now the guy could ask that price and get it sold in a few days no problem. So i dont want to push my luck.

Thanks for the input though. You think the tranny might give me problems later on if its never been looked at before? its an auto, shifts really smooth right now.

You say that most of the maintence is done, but its always good to have it looked at, id ask whens the last time they changed the fluid, timingbelt (every 60,000miles) i forgot how often the transmission fluid should be replaced, 88pathoffroad would know that, but yeah most important issues on that pathfinder is the condition of the front steering, and timing belt. If you dont hear any metalic or 'clunks' noises as i call them, while persay making a U-turn it should be fine but just take a look underneath see if its clean or not.

Read this previous post about issues with 90-95 pathfinders
