how is your 4 wheel drive unit holding up?
i have manually engaged 4 wheel drive but i am afraid to use it even in the harshest conditions because I keep thinking it will burn up.

everyone knows that one set of wheels spin abit slower to compensate for any slippage when 4 wheel drive is engaged, but how do you know when to put it on?

what is the ratio?

i mean, when i do engage 4 wheel drive(when the roads are slippery) i keep thinking that i am somehow slowly destroying the gears.
is there anyway to change the gear ratio so that all wheels spin the same?
how long has your 4 wheel drive unit lasted? how often do you use it?

Use 4WD when you need it. Don't worry about it. The gearboxes are all lubed and will not "burn up".
