early 90's pathfinder transmission coolers

on another post i was reading, is it common for the transmission cooler... or basically where the transmission fluid goes into the radiator to get plugged up after so long? if so ... is an after marketcooler the best solution? how much etc...

Yep, very true, and the bigger the better. I have TWO coolers on mine.

Yeah I would scrap the factory one, and go to your local parts house and get an aftermarket one, most trans failures in path go right back to the trans cooler

Would this have anything to do with the auto shift stick to heat up after a while of driving. I mean, heating up enough to where I can feel the heat while driving?

Inbetween the radiator and AC condenser. The radiator's plenty wide enough.
