1996 Pathfinder Power Locks Not Working AND Security Light ON
Just picked up a 1996 Pathfinder SE. There are a coupe quirks with it, my main concern at this point are the door locks and security light.
The switch on the drivers side doesn't lock or unlock any of the doors. Neither does the passengers side switch. I was thinking it may be the drivers side switch thats bad and causing the issue, BUT the security light is also on. I didn't get a fob from the previous owner, just two keys (one original Nissan key an one copy).
Vehicle starts fine...there is no ignition cut or anything due to the security light being on. I can lock and unlock the drivers side door with the key just fine. I am not sure why the security light is on, but it remains lit whether the vehicle is on or off. I think it may have something to do with the door locks not working, but I am not sure.
Any ideas on what to check?
