05 pathfinder fuel gage

Just got a 05 pathfinder and the fuel gage does not work correctly. Ive searched the internet and from what I see this is a common problem. My question is has anyone came up with a repair for this or is the only way to buy a new fuelpump/sending unit and replace.

Just searched ebay and found just the sending unit only had anyone tried this option. Thanks.

no need to replace the fuel pump.
a new sending unit & O-ring are all that you will need (assuming the sending unit is the problem - it probably is....).
be sure to get the latest issue sending unit, in case there has been a revision in its design and part number.

Yea unfortunatley I don't think the 05's are covered under the recall yet.... it always worth checking out and even calling your dealer.
