I'm getting ready to replace the AC compressor in my '92 Pathfinder and was wondering if anyone would know how to oil the new compressor? What type of oil should I use? Is the compressor oil that's being referred the refrigerant oil R12 or R134a? Any information on this matter is greatly appreciated since I can't find the answer I'm looking for on the forum. Thanks.

PAG oil is required with R134a systems. When I replaced my condenser, I took it to a shop to apply vacuum first to remove any air and moisture from the system, then asked them to add oil and refrigerent.
Take the car to a specialist to get the the compressor installed and have them do the lot because they have the correct equipment to drain and refill the system correctly. if where you live is like Australia by law the old type refrigerant must be replaced by R134a and new seals put in the system or you will get leakage problems.
