replacing torque converter bolt

I have a major problem with my tranny making noise on 1994 4x4 pathfindfer..

let me start this off by explaining how this occured, I had my transmission inspected by a friends mechanic, which he recommended to have it overhauled or installing a used tranny from the wrecking yard, so i decided to go with the used one...

so finally the tranny was installed and the car was delivered to me, stupid of me I payed him without test driving.. assuming it was ok since he drove it to me.. make my story short.. found out that the F&** mechanic helper installed a wrong bolt on one of the torque converter, which he refuse to fix or return my call ...

can the bolt be replaced without removing the transmission? please help

thanks

It sure can be replaced. Just remove the starter to gain access to the bolts.
You might have to move the trans lines out of the way, to get better access to them.
