A/C V belt removal

I was changing my V belts this evening and im trying to get some slack on my A/C Vbelt to remove it.Ive got a 92 4x4 V6 automatic .Thanks again

Tried again this morning....cannot get any slack on this belt.I backed off the adjusting bolt a few turns but did not get anything.What im i missing here?I know im a hack trying to be a backyard mechanic but i cant just bring it in without giving it a shot first.Thanks
