2001 Nissan Pathfinder shakes & vibrates.

2001 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 constantly shakes & vibrates during high/low speeds, idling, park, neutral...seems no difference when. Completely gutless on acceleration. Its not spark plugs, poor oil changes, or muffler/exhaust. Its not alignment. Mechanic suggested changing gas for a couple months...we did, this didn't work. Engine light DOES NOT come on ever. Doesn't matter if its rain/shine cold/warm..still nothing. AC isn't the problem. Seems to be occuring more & more everyday...very frustrating & poor on gas (I know they are pigs to begin with, but its worse). Constant vibrate...please help. I made an appointment for today (again) to have it checked, but of course it stopped. Staring (ignition) problems haven't really happened...fuel pump?
Please contact christinehoffele@yahoo.ca
Thanks!!!

Your check engine light could be out...If so you can take the car to an Autozone they can pull codes for your problems. Second does your car have high miles? It could be sign of aging. Replacing engine mounts might be needed for shakes & Vibrations. Also low power, bad idle and poor gas mileage can be clog fuel injectors, timing, o2 sensors too. I would suspect a tune up is needed.

And it turns out you were right. I went in this morning when it began to vibrate once again & they said it was the ignition coil. Thanks everyone for your suggestions....
