Question Need to reset the factory alarm?

A few months ago, I let the battery die on my '93 Pathfinder. I am now going to sell it but the parking lights are on ALL the time. I'm thinking it is the factory alarm since the light is flashing like crazy and I can't get it to stop. The truck starts and drives fine (after a jump because the battery can't hold a charge with the lights stuck on). Somone mentioned that I might need to reset the alarm. So, I need to find out how to do that! Anyone know how or can look it up in a manual for me? Thanks!

There were discusions on reseting the alarm on here before, I do not think its possible to reset alarm on 93 path.

Your problem however is probably stuck contact in the switch on left side of the steering column, there are all kinds of problem with this switch. You can take it out and pry the translucent back off and clean the contacts with electronic cleaner and very fine (1000 grit) sand paper. Make sure you do not bend the contacts too much up or they will not work.

Or you could try unplugging the alarm. It's under the driver's seat in the center of the floor. Don't unplug the one that says "ABS" though.
