Air Lift or Other Fix for Bottoming Out on 2WD 2005 Pathfinder?

Hello all, I am trying to fix the bottoming out problem on my 2005 Pathfinder. I was going to get the Air Lift 1000 Kit but then found out there isn't one for a 2WD Pathfinder... is there some other fix? This thing rides great when only one person in the back but any more than that and it really sucks. I'm wanting to take the Pathfinder on a ski trip but would have two large guys in the back plus ski gear, etc.

I just need to get SOMEthing to firm up the suspension on the rear.

The guy from airlift recommends 60792 (Kia Sorento) kit for the 2WD R51 Pathfinder. Other have used it and it leaves the spring free to compress an inch. So in normal everyday driving you won't hurt the normal ride and it will save you when you have weight in the back.

Here is another option. Firestone Industrial Products Co. ~RIDE-RITE™ Air Helper Spring I haven't heard anyone trying this one yet, so you would have to experiment. They look very similar to the airlift.

I've had Air Lifts on my 01 for seven years now, still holding up.

Looking at this page: Vehicle Applications - Nissan

Once again, the only model left out is the 2005 2WD pathfinder SE... pretty much everything else has an application.

Now this page: Firestone Ride Rite, Coil Rite, Sport Rite 4150 - Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Spring Kits - summitracing.com

That shows that the 4150 includes an application for the 2005 2WD Pathfinder XE... I can't imagine there is any difference between the XE and SE's rear springs. I see nothing listed on a detail sheet comparing the two models. I'm tempted to grab this from summit and just see if it works before I try using the Sorento from Air Lift. Summit doesn't have it in stock, so I gotta find it somewhere else.

Anyone else think this is a reasonable experiment?

The springs are probably the same. Unless it's an SE Offroad. I'm not sure if they are any different.
