engine rebuild kit

does anyone know where the best place is to order an engine rebuild kit for the vg30e from a 90 pathfinder?

will the cab and engine from a 91 2WD pathfinder fit on the frame of a 87 4WD pathfinder?

No idea, and yes the engine will but the engine in the 87 is TBI, the engine from the 91 is MPFI so you'll have to decide which system you want to use when you swap. You can swap all the TBI stuff from the 87 onto the 91 and vice versa...

I don't think the body is a direct swap, they changed the rearmost body mount for the 4-doors, not too sure if that might be a problem or not. Otherwise, they're almost exactly the same size and length.

"Engine rebuild" can mean a lot of differant things....If you are just looking at gaskets and rings, I prefer to stick with genuine Nissan. On the aftermarket, Fel-Pro is one of the best for gaskets and TRW/Sealed Power is good for most rings, pistons, etc. That said, price out the engine rebuild, first; it may end up being more practical to go with a reman. Nissan or Jasper long block and get a nationwide warranty with it.
