weapon r intake

has anyone have a weapon r intake installed on a 97 Pathfinder or 3.3l engine? Each time I install it my "service engine" light would light up

I was going to, but your situation is making me rethink that. What codes did it trigger?

Did you have the negative battery cable disconnected before and after installation of the intake?

Someone, recently, installed a cold air intake and kept having the "SES" light come on. I think what he did was disconnect the battery cable for 30 minutes, reconnected and no problems since.

that was me...I did post before and asked how to reset that damn light, I figured that out on how to re-set that light but never got to prevent it from lighting up when I have the weapon r installed instead of my factory intake.

it's pointing the right direction; however, the way it's angled now is different from how it was angled w/ the factory intake. Is it probably it's just getting more oxygen now compared to w/ the factory intake?

did you check the code yet? That could help you determine what the problem is.

I would first recommend finding out what code is being set. Many auto parts stores have an OBD II code reader and offer free code retrieval; just don't let them talk you into buying any parts to correct the problem. Then, I would contact the manufacturer of the intake or see if they have a website that offers tech support.

Did the intake specify if it was emissions certified or did it say it was for off-road use only?

weaponR claims plug and play emissions legal, everything. WeaponR is a pretty popular brand for quality products from what I have read. I would get the code and call them, i tried emailing them when i had a question with no help. Maybe contact the person you bought it from also and let them know its throwing CEL. But definitely get the codes.
