Cruise Control Problems

Hi again everyone,

I figure someone probably has had this problem before, it concerns my Cruise Control on my 93 Pathfinder. The Cruise does not work. When I switch the Cruise Control switch to on, the light shows it is working, but when I push the button on the end of the Turn Signal Indicator it does not work. Can anyone tell me how to tell if it is the part under the hood or is it the switch on the Turn Signal Indicator that is the problem. I have tried to use it at all kinds of speeds from 35MPH up and it does not work. As I have said before this Pathy has 138,000 miles and no rust on it under the body or on the body, it is in really great shape. After getting my Door lock fixed this seems to be the only problem it has left for now.

Thank You and GOD BLESS!!!

There's a diagnostic procedure in the factory service manual that one would need to go through to determine the problem. If you want it, E-mail me direct at smj999smj@hotmail.com and I'll send it to you. Make sure you mention the year/model and that you want the cruise control diag. procedure.

Check the vacuum hose going to the CC diaphragm, if it leaks or has been removed you won't have working CC. That'll be under the hood on the upper firewall on the passenger's side in the US.
