Hot or Cold Plugs

95' Pathy, high mileage..I live in eastern, Ky..It never gets below say ummm...15-20 degrees here in the Winter.I am currently running NGK BKR6EY V-Power plugs..They're great, but I was glimpsing through my manual and this is the cold rated plugs, standard are 5 heat range plugs. What should I be running..Also I'm thinking of going Platinum next change..Staying with NGK though..G-Power Platinum.??..Do I want 5 or 6 heat range for my area? and mainly highway driving..Looking for fuel economy too..

You probably won't notice any differance between the two. Personally, I would go with the standard heat range ("5"). The G-platinums are a good, economical platinum plug; the laser platinums are better yet, but usually two or three times the price. With platinums, you should easily be able to extend your spark plug replacement interval to 60000 miles, which is nice considering what a pain it is to get plug #6!

Okay, thanks soo much..I'll purchase those today as my Pathy is now in the shop..Started overheating on my way to college, so I pulled her into the shop, just in time for all new timing components..I'm hoping the thermostat stuck on me..We'll see...I"m pretty sure though, as I had no heat when I stopped..lol..That was fun, it was about 35 degrees that morning..
