Code P1167 is a Post convertor oxygen sensor maximum voltage monitor fault (left bank). thats according to a Haynes Repair Manual.

So probaby get it replaced. i just had the code P0138 flash up on mine after i just replaced the MAF sensor. So that sucked. Gonna get mine looked at today.

Hey thanks Phantom, I really appreciate the info.

So, this is a O2 sensor past the catalytic coverter then?

I'll admit I'm clueless.

How many O2 sensors does the 02 have? Maybe I will replace them all at once.

I just checked my gas mileage. 17 mpg with about 80% highway 20% city. Not bad but wish it was better. Maybe I need to get this O2 sensor replaced.

there is a total of 4 converters and 4 O2 sensors on my 01, so i am going to make the assumption you have the same thing. 2 O2 sensors before the first set of converters, and 2 O2 sensors before the last set of converters. its outrageous how much unnecessary shit is under there, but oh well haha. i got a quote to replace 1 O2 sensor and the dealer told me $150. so if you wanna replace all 4 go ahead, but i dont think its necessary if they are working properly. after i got my MAF sensor replaced i had the SES light come back on the next day and the dealer said that the O2 sensor hasnt fully learned the new amount of fuel and air, because it was running way too lean before. so they reset the code. i dont know what my milage is currently, but when my SES light was on, i was getting 19mpg, just about 95% highway.
