Question 05 Pathfinder-increase mileage and power

I was thinking about getting a throttle body spacer to boost fuel economy (assuming I drive the same way after I install it) and power. Has anyone used one before? Do they work or will I just get more power but worse mileage?

Most mods on modern engines have no real effect... If you want to increase mileage you can do it for free by keeping your tires inflated, using cruise control, use 87 octane fuel, and keeping your foot off the gas....

There are so many mods on the market that don't work and may cause MIL lights and potential warranty issues... Todays engines are so computerized that barring a major mechanical design flaw a chip (if one is made) is your best bet for power and mileage gains. They have the most real gains. Manufacturers tune the average car to be average....

TBS's don't work, in general. I'd like to see a real dyno test graph before and after that shows anything more than a +/- 1 hp difference...WAY too much hype. If they worked that well, don't you think they'd simply make the spacer part of the stock vehicle?

Awesome! Thanks for your thoughts! I'm sure I can spend the money better elsewhere!
