I was on the way to school this morning, and we came to a brisk stop and the person behind me hit me and pushed me into the car in front of me. I have no damage to the rear, the spare tire carrier absorbed the impact, but my front bumper is all bent up. It was pushed right into the white/clear tank on the drivers side in front of the radiator that says "refrigerant, coolant" on it. It destroyed this tank and coolant leaked all over the road from it. I have searched for over an hour now and cant find a replacement for it. Does anyone know where to find this part? Im assuming its the overflow tank for coolant, but im not positive. Thanks a lot.
BTW: the pathy was still driveable after this, all of the coolant in the radiator was still there, so no punctured radiator.
as far as i know the a/c shouldnt run in front of the radiator between it and the bumper. Also, i have never seen an a/c tank that was white/clear (and probably plastic).
The tank you described would be the rad overflow. Easiest way to tell is that there should be a rubber hose that connects it to the top of your radiator. what year pathfinder is it?? you should be able to find one at a local wrecking yard, but watch the price as some yards i have found sell them not much cheaper than a new unit from the dealer. hope that helps.

its a 97. And it is a plastic tank. The fluid that came out of it was green, the same color as the fluid in the radiator when i checked to make sure that wasnt leaking
