Exclamation Pathfinder 2007/2008

Hi,

Does anyone have the Nissan Pathfinder 2007 or 2008? I am so confused.. my husband and I are in the process of getting an SUV and we liked the Pathfinder. But we have heard that Nissan gives a lot of problems. Has anyone had any issues with their Pathfinders?

We are planning to lease for 3 years so I doubt we will have any problems with it during that time. Also, about how much is the insurance on an SUV? This is our first SUV so I am not sure how much to expect to pay for insurance..

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Buy a Totota if you want perfect. My Pathfinder sucks . A/C out again at 22,000 miles.

Pathfinders are flawed .

Thanks for your input. We decided not to go with the Pathfinder. We are going to look into a Toyota 4Runner and the Sequioa.

No matter where you look, you will find someone with something to bitch about with ANY vehicle. Look up a Toyota forum and ask the same question about 4Runners there...that said, I would test drive both vehicles, look at both their specs and price and decide from there, not by relying on one person's negative experience.

Don't ask about the FJ Cruisers breaking/cracking their own sheetmetal under the hood, though.

I agree. I've been on the RAV4 forum and they have there problems with Japanese made SUV's.

What?! The new FJ's have self destructing metal!?

You oughta see...this is amazing. STOCK FJ's that see little off-road use are breaking at the crumple zones up front, where they're supposed to be in case of a frontal collision. Toyota's gonna be screwed if someone has that happen and gets hurt.

I guess this is another good example of why it's best to avoid the first couple of years of a new model run!

i have an 07 LE w/nav---- my parents always taught me to never buy the first model .
the only issue i have and its a minor one is that there are alot of "noises" in the dashboard area-- prob due to all the plastic etc-- drives me nuts , so i just turn up the music.

oh yeah and another item is the NAV-- you cant use it unless your in park-- program etc...
i understand the safety issue involved, but what a bummer and there isnt a damn code to unlock it yet... but love the pathfinder-- i had an 02 paid it off in 5 years and the very next month got the o2 sensor and catylitic converter codes-- so i traded it in on the new one.

i test drive the 4 runner loaded and it wasn't really any better-- pathfinder has more power, what i felt was a better ride-- the 4 runner was actually quite high in the air
i get 20 mpg on the highway at 70 mph can tow more if needed and have it loaded when the 4 runners wouldnt make a deal.

so far so good.

I've had my 07 Pathfinder for almost a year, there is 12000km on it, and have had 0 issues with it.
I love it!
