I am looking to upgrade the tires and wheels on my 95 pathy. I am thinkin of going from the 15 x 7 stockers to 16 x 8 do to the availability and selection of 16 inch tires. My truck is an XE model that has the 15 x 7 chrome steels on it. I put 31 x 10.5 on it last year with no issues. The truck has a 3 inch Calmini lift.
Questions are
Is it ok to do a plus one wheel size on this truck?
Is there going to be a big diference in wheel/tire weight compared to a 15 inch setup?
What backspacing should I go with if I am going to be running a 8 inch wide wheel?
Thanks for you help
Tim
Should be fine, I wouldn't worry about it. Neutral BS is good with an 8" wheel.

'88 Pathfinder: 6" of lift, 33x13.50 Swamper LTB's, Rancho 9000's, L&P Stage 3 steering system, K&N, Pacesetter headers and 2.5" exhaust, Lock-Right locker, 110A alty and electric fan swap, dual batteries, 700W+ worth of PIAAs, etc.
Those wheels would sit further in than a neutral offset wheel, but so do stock wheels.

help
I want to tires to sit out at around the same width as the stock fender flares. So what are you guys running to achieve this? Any pics for comparison?
thanks
Car domain does have a good amount of pics for reference.
I dont know what stock offset is for the chrome steelies to reference my new wheels to.
The offset calculator could be a real help though
If you have the stock steelies on hand, you could take one off and measure in about a half-hour.
