2001 Brakes

I am about to replace the front brake pads and rear brake shoes on my 2001 Pathfinder. Any advice on brands would be gratefully appreciated. Should I go with with OEM parts from the dealer? Are NAPA parts an option? Are there any good after market choices?

Thanks!

I've had good luck with Hawk pads.

You are really a big help! Thanks.

I am used to working on/restoring classic cars and muscle cars. I decided to start doing the work on my Pahtfinder myself while I wait for my latest project to come back from the body shop. It is always great to find somebody that is knowledgeable and willing to give advice.

I ordered a set of Rancho RSX17000 struts and shocks. What about rear brake shoes.

I replaced mine with Brembo OEM replacements. They were cheaper than nissan.. they are okey, not anything to write home about.
