Disconnecting odometer

Does any one know where how to disconnect the odometer or where the speed sensor is on a auto gearbox?

Diesel!? Sorry, don't know. Ask the service manager next time you're in for servicing.

Isn't that wrong?

On another note, how do you like your diesel? I hope they sell them in the US one day, I think I would like one.

Send a message via AIM to 88pathoffroad
You could unplug the revolution sensor that feeds the speedo and in turn the odometer, but it would give you a CEL and your cruise control won't work.

Isn't that illegal? And unsafe? Why would you want to do this?

The speed signal is definitely used for cruise control, VDC, fuel efficiency calculations, and who knows what else.
