Hi all , I have a '96 pathfinder and the brake lights are stuck on , now i know about the switch under the dash , I diconected that and they are still on , and the switch seems to be fine ,, any help would be great ,, I'm going to run off and read some more
hi all ,, I'm still working on the problem , all the conections look ok in the back of the truck , seems to be a crossed wire somewhere , like I said before if I disconnect the switch on the pedal , the lights stay on , that seems wrong to me , but does that mean the switch is bad ?
any help to find the major harness connections would help or any juctions that may have been compromised
are you sure your not looking at the cruise control brake switch? just a thought, check the fuses, see if you pull other than the stop, tail turn fuse if they go out.

fixed it , Thanks to Dave (dvdswanson), I didn't see the Brake switch and thought the C/C was the one and only switch ...
Thanks Dave ...
the problem was the plate has lil rubber bumpers on it , well the one for the brake broke , so i took the one for the C/C and switched it over ,,, I don't use the C/C being on a small mountain island in the caribbean.
