Windshield Wiper Problem

Hello everyone,
I am new here, and I have a question regarding my 2001 QX4, at the risk of sounding like a noob. No matter what type of wipers I use, they bounce on the windshield, regardless of speed or amount of water on the windshield. I currently have a pair of 22" Bosch Excel+ wipers, but I have previously used regular ANCOs and ANCO Aerovantages. While the Boschs are silent, they still bounce, and I am anal enough to be bothered by it. I think that downsizing to 20 or 21" wipers would solve the problem, but I am not sure. The 12" Aerovantage rear wiper works just fine, so I know it's not a matter of poor quality wipers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Davis

Could be the arm springs are too loose. Just a thought.

I suggest cleaning your windshield real good with nylon brush and some cleaner. Then maybe applying some rain-x or something to that effect.

Anco has those new ANCO® Contour™ Profile blades out now. They are awesome! I just put a set on my '99 and I love them. They look like the blades on the newer Volvos and BMW's. They're not cheap, but it was worth it to me.
BTW, the rear 91 series 12" Anco Aerovantage blade is the exact same blade as the 31 series Anco Premium which sells for less money. I should know.....I sell them!

First closely watch the wiper blades during a complete cycle. I believe you find that one or more blades are not properly rotating as it changes direction at the end of the sweep. The solution is to use two adjustable crescent wrenches to twist the wiper arm in the appropriate direction to allow the blade to rotate.

I have also found that the rubber blades may not want to rotate if they are not used for many days and subjected to the sun. The solution that works for me if I know there is no rain forecasted is to use my hand to fold the blades over in the opposite direction.
Hope this helps

I believe I have one 22, and one 21" blade on my truck, as per the book at my local parts store.
