My wife has an 05 Pathfinder with the Bose stereo and I want to add in an auxiliary input. My thought is to use the A/V Rear, but I'm not sure what the back of the radio looks like. Does anyone know if it has RCA inputs? And does anyone know where I can get directions on how to remove the radio?
I figures it all out...and it failed!
The only thing that I got accomplished was wiring my wife's radar detector into the dash so its not taking up a cig lighter.
Back side of the head unit only has factory plug in points. you can buy an adapter that will plug into the back, and give you an aux output. It's about 230 bucks and you can get them through most nissan dealerships. They also sell them on ebay...but I'd be a bit leary about that!
I recently swapped out my bose head unit just for this reason. I learned that the '05 was the first year that nissan designed a system that could easily integrate with aftermarket radios. Now I have my alpine unit (with an ipod interface) installed and it sounds as good if not better than the bose. It uses the factory amp and subwoofer!

Search the forums for information about the PAC AAI-NIS2. You should be able to find it online for around $100. It will provide 2 aux inputs. I bought one around last May from logjam for my '06 PF LE w/Bose and it works great.
