It is behind the glove box. Most models don't have one, but it is an optional part you can install later. Some models already have a detachable cover. Others have a section they have to cut out in order to install the filter.
I recently bought an 03 and the dealer told me they had changed the filter, so I just wanted to check it to see if they really changed it.
I didn't see any info in the manual and I even searched the on-line manual but didn't find a section on it.
On my Sunny, N16 RHD = B15 LHD after the glove box was removed then the AC evaporator box and ducting is visible,
There was a slide out tray that contained the Microfilter.
Well I just looked in my owners manual and I agree its not in there, so maybe we don't have one.
Ask them to show you where it is and that they did put one in.

I can't believe it wouldn't be in the 03. In the 01 it is behind the glove box. You have to remove the entore glove box, and pull the old filters out, slide new ones in. I may have the instructions still at home, I recently replaced mine.
A word of caution, I broke a piece off the old one i yanking it out, and there's no way to get it out. Luckily it doesn't rattle at all. Just be careful. Also the plastic on the 'box scratches easily, so put something under it when you lay it down.

Note:
- I did not disconnect the battery.
- on (2) I believe there are a few more screws on the top part, I broke a tab when I didn't see one to unscrew.
o- n (4) I didn't cut anything, which may be why I broke off a piece when I pulled the old one out.
