Unhappy 2005 pathfinder rear lift gate shock

Hi,
Wanted to find out if anyone has replaced the rear lift gate shocks not the one for the rear glass the one for the rear hatch. Please let me know where I can pick both left and right side up cheap. Mine seems to be sagging lately.

Thanx

if its under warranty, go back to dealer.
if not, I would get the ones from Pep Boys because they offer lifetime warranty.
I already exchange mine twice for a 92 hatch car.
do you know why its sagging? maybe slight oil leak?

No oil leak indication just not going all the way up...I almost hit my head on the lift gate when it was fully open. Is there a part number from Nissan for the rear hatch shocks ? I will try the dealer and see if they will warrant the part.

Thanx

They'll sag when it's cold out and the struts are kinda worn. Cold=less pressure inside=less lift=hitting your head on the hatch cause it won't stay up.

The weather has warmed up a little...and the struts seem to be working as normal.

Isn't a shame that as soon as the temperatures dip down that issues show up on the pathfinder. Because not only did the rear hatch give me a problem but the TPMS light came on as well. I thought these "SUVs" perform better in inclement weather conditions?

Some laws of physics can't be broken, even by auto manufacturers...

The TPMS light came on for a reason, I'm sure...I would check your tire pressure ASAP.
