1995 Pathfinder Clarion Amps -small plastic box??

HI

I am sure this has been asked many times but please excuse if I ask again.

I am taking out the Clarion sound system in my 1995 Pathfinder. With help from different sources on the net including here I located the amps at the back right rear.

I have traced all the wires to the speakers and back to the head unit plugs. Ready to install new system.

What I would like to know is that attached to one of the brackets holding the two Clarion Amps is a plastic box. About 3" x 3" x 1.5". What is it?

No connections seem to go from the box into any of the amps. It wont bother me to just leave it there and put the plug back in but I would like to know what it does.

Any ideas please.

Many Thanx

The A/T control unit is located in that area so you better leave it there plugged in.

The TCU is a gold metal box with two plugs. I dunno about a plastic box back there. If it's attached to the same bracket as the amps, I'd say it was something stereo-related. Could it be a crossover network box for the separate tweeters?

Thanks everyone for the help.

Golfer this is the exact area. Bottom right. What is puzzling me is that I see the small amp on the right that says 'front speaker amp. I found three units, two are alloy with heat sinks and I was able to trace all the speakers from these two. The larger does drive the rear speakers and I presume it puts out 2.4 ohm. The other one shown in the pick is alloy as well and drives front 4 ohm. Then just behind that bulkhesd and attached to the smaller amp is this small plastic box. Cant see where the wires go as everything is wrapped in black and going into the harness.
I have ended up leaving it in place and put the cable plug back in.
I have already by passed the amps and joined the wires so that everything is running from the head unit.
Think it could be as suggetsed a cross over for the tweeters.

Love to get a download of the manual as also suggested. Where can I get that?

Cheers again. Hope It works tommorow when I do final fit.
