mtbpath.....the front end of your pathy sure looks nice. those billet grilles sure makes the front end looks awesome. did you install them with your OEM grille in-place? Is there enough room behind the grille for your hands to secure the billet grille? thanks

its called overlay. it goes directly over the black OEM grill. It has to because the rod and screws is what holds the new grill in place.
what I did was took the entire front grill off and installed it off the car. than reinstalled the new setup back onto the car. For me, it was easier to work with becauase you don't have to reach down.

just keep in mind, what you buy is what you pay for. I found that these grills, especially the ones found on ebay are made in China. its affordable and I don't think I would be paying $200-$300+ for grills.
I want a affordable, nice look and of course, to be different.
There are imperfections when you start to look for them, but overall, at a distance it looks great.
I constantly get nice comments about how great it looks.

Thanks for the reply. I think I will be pulling the trigger real soon. Anyway, how do you remove the OEM grille.

- First, remove the six plastic pieces from the top of the grille

- Second, when looking at the front of the grille, look on the far end of each side and you will see two diamond shaped pieces of plastic. using a slotted screwdriver twist them so they look like they are square, then push them through the back of the grille.

- Lastly, on the inside bottom of the grille there are, I think five metal clips that you have to depress so you can pull the grill out.

Make sure not to force the grille out, if everything is taken off or unsnapped the grille should come out fairly easily.

the bottom line is it minimal gain. you won't feel it.
it just sounds great.
there are too many factors that affect HP.
my next step is to add an exhaust system. if I feel it adds HP, great, if not, I won't be disappointed.
I am going for sounds and looks.
good luck.

How hard was it to install the bumper grill insert? Was there any drilling involved?
