HID Upgrade

Just wanted to post some pictures of my HID install. This was a plug and play kit that connects to your exsiting harness. Only down side is no high beams. But definately worth the white light...vs. the yellow incadesant bulbs.

Enjoy.....Sorry about the picture size.

You've got to be shitting me. I can't view even half of those pictures. Resize 'em, would you? 640x480 or so would suffice.

Rharrack, very nicely done! Dont worry about pic size. I changed my headlights too, the first week i got the Pathy. The old lamps were really weak, but I simply changed them to Silverstar. If ever, I will still have my Path by the time the lamps run out, I may opt to go PIAA, dont know yet really.

Sorry...I will resize my pictures moving forward....got spanked by the moderators twice.
Smartswap....I would not go back to aftermarket wannabe HID bulbs after seeing and experincing the end result of true 6000K HID kit. The benefits is a positive in the simple fact the HID's uses less wattage than the aftermarket bulbs and light output is much whiter and brighter on dark roads. HID oulast the aftermarket bulbs too. I regret not doing this upgrade when I first bought my pathfinder.

Looks real nice! Couple questions:
1) Which kit did you buy?
2) How is the light output? I noticed that you kept the stock Pathfinder lights (opposed to projector lights).

To answer your questions customvq: I bought the kit off of Ebay with the plug and play harness and they are 6000K. I wanted to keep the stock look...not into the bling-bling aftermarket headlights.

i bought my hid from Hongkong on my regular business trip got it very cheap for just 150/- USD this is the 6000k. I have done teh fitting myself as it came with the manual how to go for the upgrade and it was perfect, The light in the dark as really bright. I bought a dual purpose HID HI/LO xenon, it is too good. Also got some LEDs changes on teh interiors and exteriors ( licence plate) got the real blue look. I am trying now to convert the H3 foggy lamps because that is the only one yellow beam.
cheers

Did I read right, that the HID kit doesn't let you keep your high beams? Are there any out there that do?

The better low beams are attractive, but I don't think I'd want to do without high beams...

Did I read that right? You drive around Houston with blue license plate lights on? You're begging for a ticket...AFAIK it's illegal for passenger cars to show blue lights on the outside. Those are for police cars only.

U r right, but are you aware that the new Lexus 460 & RX350 & BMW 650i Coupe are having LED Blue licence plate lights. I suppose these are coming down from manufacture itself. Otherday I saw one whizzing past the cop cars , He did care a damm. Anyway I get caught I will definetely quote these vehicles which are moving in and around the town , or Maybe quote the licence plate number
