Advise on an 06 Pathfinder LE

I'll probably getting an 06 LE in the next few weeks. Is there anything that I should look out for or be aware of (both good and bad) regarding the 06 Patherfinder LE's? Also, is there any ECU reprogrammer or flashing tool available for them that will help increase performance or gas milage?

I got the 05 LE with all options. To be very honest, I wasnt too happy with it at first. Not that, its bad, but Jap cars compared to American (last one was an 02 Suburban) it felt small and clanky. I kept comparing the comfort quiet cabin with the precious car. The sunroof was noisy and there were a lot of little clanky noises. You can check out my previous posting about it. Engine is pretty good though. After 30k miles on it, Im OK with it. It is small - which is why we sold the SUB anyway, that was way too big. 2nd row is tight with 3 people, it is actually a 4 adult + 2 small kids at the third row. There's limited luggage room when 3rd row in use. But guess what, were buying this for a 'own forever' car. After fixing (my own) the complaints, specially the small creaks here and there, its all good. Size seems perfect for us now. It'll be more perfect when kids are grown. The design hasnt changed since so my Path doenst look old, its the same as in the 2007. Maybe nexy tear, they'll change something. And I got it then for $37k, I tink today its at $45k+ (?) so cant complain I guess. After 2 years and no engine/tranny problems, Im happy.

Thank you for the candid feedback smartswap. We're replacing a 2000 Durango and we wanted something about the same size. The Durango has had tranny problems twice and we can't go 6 months without having to replace a motor for the power windows. Point being we're looking for something more reliable to have around for 5+ years.

We only have 1 kid and she's about to turn 1 so we don't need anything as large as a Sub. We have a 100 German Shepard though that we take on road trips from time to time as well so it can't be too small either. The wife, who will be driving it 90% of the time, loves the interior of the fully loaded pathfinders and she really enjoyed them when we've gone on test drives. We found one uses in perfect condition fully loaded (nav, DVD in back, leather, etc) with under 9000 miles for $27,750. I trust the Nissan brand for reliability and the price is well under Bluebook value so I'm finding it hard to pass up.
