2002 Pathfinder heating and cooling unit won't shut off. please help

No matter how the heating or cooling unit is on. wheter it is on high to your face only, or to your feet with any temperature. When you press the off button. The front window defrost then goes on and the unit is turned off. Whenever you press off the front window defrost goes on. I am unable to stop this from happening no matter what I press.

My unit is digital.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a TSB on this. You need to replace the fan control amplifier(blower motor resistor), right behind the glove box. I also think the TSB states that the blower motor needs replacing also.

The exact same issue just happened to my 2002 LE last night. Anyone know the price of this resistor? Or the blower motor?

The amplifier(not resistor) generally runs between $200-300. The blower isn't usually the problem. Call a dealership for a price quote.
