Okay this is my problem. I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. I had a basic sound system installed. A Sony Xplod Amp & 2 12' Subs. When i had the subs in there, and i put the volume up loud the signal lights woul blink real fast but thats not the problem. I was moving some stuff, so i decided to take out the amp & the sub and i never put it back. For some reason though when ever i played my music loud the light would still blink. This is when the problems started. First the backlight for the mileage went out. Then my speedometer & tachometer lights starting going out. Then is was my clock. I couldn't think of what was going on. The only thing i could think of is the wires were still sucking power from the body and without an amplifier it was just going haywire. So i took out the fuse for the amplifier wire and some of the stuff has come back. The Tachometer light is going strong but my speedometer & mileage light take turns working and sometimes they'll both work. My Clock has not come back yet though . I would check the fuse but there doesn't seem to be a fuse for the dash lights and the clock. Its the clock i want to work its soooooooooo frustrating. So if any help or ideas would be appreciated.
Sounds like a short or some over voltage happened. You should check the wiring and put a meter on it. Replace the bulbs and may have to replace the LED clock.
Replace the clock huh, Sounds expensive. I'll call Nissan and see how much that is...Unless someone knows how to do it themselves and give me some sort of instructions on how to do it. Thanks for the ideas
If you're not using the subs and amp anymore, why not remove the wiring and clean it all up? There's obviously a wiring issue somewhere.

If you had an amp installed, then it has a power wire that runs under the hood and straight to a positive battery post. Look at the color of the wire that was going to the amp and remove that wire from the battery. This will eliminate any current passing through that wire, also the same wire should have a fuse shortly after it connects to the battery and before passing through your firewall
I already took out the fuse should i still take out the power wire from the battery? For an update the other back light for the tachometer went out this morning, but i turned the car on and off again and it started working.
I have a 2001 Pathfinder and am having a similar problem. My tach always works, but my speedometer and odometer lights are touch and go, and work when they want to.
