Maybe someone could offer me some insight on this odd situation...nothing serious, just curious. I have a 2002 SE with 61,300 miles on it (bought it used in August 2005). I have yet to see a similar pathfinder with the roof rack/sunroof arrangement that I have!
My roof rack is the standard SE roof rack, but with no cover up front because I have a sunroof. Also, this roof rack never had "PATHFINDER" written on it towards the back of the main rails as all of the other pathfinders with this roof rack do(shows no signs that it simply wore off). I do believe it is a factory roof rack, as there are no signs that a dealer installed it for someone.
Is this setup a rare factory option? Was there an option to have the roof rack without the "PATHFINDER" logo written on it? Thanks!
Yeah, it never had one, but I figured it was because I have a sun roof. I've yet to see a Pathfinder with a deflector on the roof rack and sun roof. Of course, after I asked this question on the forum, I saw a Pathfinder with the same roof rack minus the logo. This one didn't have a sun roof, but had the deflector.

Thanks for the responses.

I just drove an 03 SE with that style roof rack. It had the front deflector and a sunroof. And coincidentally, no lettering on the rails!
FWIW.....

You have the same roof rack as I have and it did not have the sticker on it and I don't have a sunroof, I have a 2003 se, if you look on the inside of the rack you will see the slots for the deflecter your sunroof may have been put in aftermarket. or did you buy it new that way?
Bought the car used....still trying to figure out if my sunroof was put in aftermarket. Anyone know how I can tell? Yes, the deflector is missing, but there really aren't any other indications that it was added later in the car's life (it's got that "factory look" to it!).
Mine has that rack and the sunroof. Lettering is on the rack as well. i thought it came stock like that, but i guess the previous owner put it on there.
My buddy has an 03 SE with the factory roof and the front wind deflector. He’s looking for a way to remove that piece since he says that prevents any air from coming in when the roof is open. He is also missing the lettering on the side. I think that is a sticker and not painted on.

If it has the factory look, it's probably factory. Aftermarket sunroofs are the ones that only pop up.
The SE rack is so much better looking than the lame LE rack......come to think of it the running boards on the SE are much better as well.....
Yeah, I was a big fan of the whole SE package but once I started looked at LE’s I now like the looks of the LE more. I will agree that the running boards on the SE are nicer but I like the LE rack more than the SE.
