Winter Driving...
I have a 06 Pathfinder. A Recent road trip covered five hours, the first part heavy snow fall, the middle part was rain, and the last part was heavy fog. That's Canadian weather for you. Anybody from the prairies up here will agree.
The first part, the snow on the road was very deep. It was deep enough that when you drove into an undriven line in the fresh snow, you can feel how deep the snow was. It wanted to pull you into the ditch. But this vehicle gave me so much confidence. I was just flying.
As I got out of the snow storm, I went into a warmer weather patch, and it began raining. The roads went from snow, to slush, to sheer ice. With the Auto drive system, I had ample grip. I've actually had a chance to drive this vehicle on practically pure ice as recently we had a full day of freezing rain, which made all roads like an ice rink. I was very surprised on how good it grips on pure ice. You don't need to keep your foot on the brake as you do any turning. Just give it gas, it finds the grip for you. Just awesome.
I've driven the Ford Expeditions, Escapes, F150s, Chevy Trail Blazers, Silverados, through this kind of weather but non of them ever instilled any confidence. Never gonna get a domestic again. So much wrong with them all the time. Have never had any problems with this Pathfinder, although 6 months and approximately 11000 miles isn't very long.
